Medium Voltage Padmount Substation

SYHF high quality medium voltage padmount substation is an important power supply unit in cable distribution network. It is a prefabricated complete set of products integrating high voltage control, protection, power transformation and distribution equipment. It is widely used in urban and rural power distribution networks. The products are divided into ring network type, terminal type and dual power supply type. The oil tank allows a fully sealed structure and is equipped with oil temperature gauge, oil level gauge, pressure gauge, pressure relief valve, oil drain valve and other components to monitor the operating status of the transformer. This medium voltage padmount substation places high voltage load switch and high voltage fuse in the transformer oil, and has two structural forms: in the same box as the transformer body and in a separate box.

Some distribution voltages may exceed 35 kV which are therefore considered high voltage, but most distribution systems are in the medium voltage range. The actual voltage is usually referred to as medium voltage, which means that the input voltage of the transformer is between 5 kV and 35 kV. Modern distribution transformers are manufactured to meet many standards, the most important of which are those of the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) and the IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission).

Most of the features and functions of medium voltage padmount substations fall under IEEE Standard C57.12.00 (Standard General Requirements for Liquid-Immersed Distribution Power and Voltage-Regulating Transformers), however, there are many standards that apply to specific types and applications of transformers, including substation type, compartment mounted type, single phase pole-mounted transformers, generator transformers, high temperature transformers, and many more.
